Delete a category

DELETE

/categories/{id}

Soft-deletes the category and reassigns every product in it to the system “Other Products” category, in one transaction, matching the behaviour of the admin app.

• Every reassigned product gets a new version and reappears in the caller’s next delta-sync poll.

• 409 CONFLICT: the category is a system category.

• 409 CONFLICT: the category is the reserved gift-cards category.

• 409 CONFLICT: the category has live subcategories.

• 404 NOT_FOUND: the id is foreign, unknown, or already deleted.
