Frequently asked questions
Is Olet only a POS system?
No. Olet includes point of sale as one module inside a broader retail management system for inventory, purchasing, customers, promotions, payments, reporting, and multi-location operations.
Can a sale be parked and resumed?
Yes. Staff can park a sale, return to it later, and resume checkout. A sale can also be voided when it should not continue.
Can a customer use more than one payment method?
Yes. Olet supports split tender using cash and card or multiple cards.
Can staff find an old transaction and send the receipt again?
Yes. Transactions can be found by receipt or customer. The receipt can then be reprinted or resent by email or SMS.
Can staff change a product price at checkout?
Yes. Product prices are set at the product level, and a user can adjust a price at checkout. However, the user must have the correct permissions to do so.
Does Olet calculate which tax rules my store must use?
Olet provides location-level tax settings, product-level overrides, and minimum application thresholds. The retailer is responsible for determining and maintaining the correct tax rate for its products and jurisdictions.
