# Connect WooCommerce

Link your WooCommerce store to OLET, approve the key it asks WooCommerce to create, and bring in your catalog

Connecting WooCommerce links one WooCommerce store to your OLET account, so OLET can read your products. Stock sync isn't available for WooCommerce, so OLET doesn't import or send WooCommerce stock.

This feature depends on your plan. Check Settings > Billing to see what your plan includes.

Do this before you start:

- **Check your WooCommerce store sells in US dollars and serves over HTTPS.** OLET supports USD stores only, and the connection needs HTTPS to hand a key back to OLET.

## 1. Start the connection

1. Go to **Integrations** and select the **WooCommerce** tile.
2. Select **Connect**.
3. A dialog opens asking for your **Store address**: the address your customers visit, without `https://`, for example `shop.example.com`.
4. Select **Continue to WooCommerce**.

## 2. Approve the key on your own site

WooCommerce takes over at this point, on a page hosted by your own store, and asks you to approve an API key for OLET with read and write access. Approve it, and WooCommerce hands the key back to OLET on its own, then returns your browser to the integration page.

WooCommerce has no screen to revoke this key from OLET's side. If you ever need to cut it off entirely, do that from your own WordPress admin, under WooCommerce's REST API keys, as well as disconnecting in OLET.

## 3. Set up WooCommerce

A freshly connected store lands on **Set up WooCommerce**, a short wizard, the same shape as the Shopify one but with no inventory or location steps. Everything it asks can be changed later on the **Settings** tab, and **Skip setup** leaves it at any point.

1. **Products.** **Keep products in sync** is a switch, on by default, which keeps your products up to date as they change in WooCommerce. A table says which WooCommerce fields reach OLET and how: see [Import from Shopify](import-from-shopify.md#choose-how-each-field-is-kept-up-to-date), which works the same way. **Import product images** is a checkbox you can turn off.
2. **Preview.** OLET takes a fresh copy of your catalog and shows what would happen before anything is written. Select **Import these products** to start the import.
3. **Progress.** Shows the import running. You can wait, or select **Finish** and carry on. The import keeps going in the background.

Connecting again later runs the same wizard as **Review your WooCommerce settings**, with your saved choices filled in.

## What comes across

| From WooCommerce | Into OLET |
|---|---|
| Name | Product name |
| Regular price | Retail price |
| SKU | SKU |
| GTIN, UPC, EAN or ISBN | Barcode |
| Categories | Category |
| Brands | Brand |
| Tags | Tags |

Variable products and their variations come across the same way Shopify's do. A variation whose option is set to WooCommerce's "Any…" value is skipped, because OLET has no specific option to map it to.

Stock isn't part of the WooCommerce connection: OLET doesn't read WooCommerce stock levels or change them, so the Overview and Settings tabs have no inventory or location sections. The activity feed and the retry and dismiss buttons work the same as for Shopify. See [Shopify activity and issues](/resources/help/integrations/shopify-activity-and-issues/).

## If it goes wrong

OLET shows a "Couldn't connect" message on the integrations directory:

- **"Olet supports USD stores only."** A store selling in another currency can't be connected.
- **"WooCommerce couldn't finish connecting. Check the store uses HTTPS and US dollars, then try again."**
- **"*Store* is already connected to another Olet account. Disconnect it there first."**
- **"The connection was cancelled before it finished. Nothing was changed."** You declined on your store's approval page, or closed it.

On a product, the activity feed can say:

- **A product's type isn't supported.** The message reads "*Product*: WooCommerce product type "*type*" isn't supported, so it was skipped." Some WooCommerce product types don't map to anything in OLET.
- **A variation uses an "Any..." value.** The message reads "*Product*: the "*attribute*" variation uses an "Any..." value, which Olet can't map to a specific option, so the product was skipped."

## Disconnecting

Go to the **Settings** tab, select **Disconnect** in the **Connection** card, and confirm. OLET stops syncing and deletes the stored key on its side. WooCommerce does not offer a way for OLET to revoke the key remotely, so if you want it gone from your store too, remove it from your WordPress admin as well.

**Products already imported stay in your catalog.** Nothing is deleted from OLET.
