# Update a tag

PATCH https://api.oletapp.com/your-store/v1/tags/{id}

A rename is title-cased and recomputes the uniqueness slug. Renaming onto another live tag is refused with `409 CONFLICT`. A foreign or unknown id is `404 NOT_FOUND`.

**Requires scope:** `catalog:write`
